OPEN-MINDEDNESS

  • Questioning the world

ISART cultivates openness to others and prepares students to take an active and enlightened part in society and industry. The school encourages students to integrate environmental, social and societal issues into their creative thinking.

To foster this spirit, the school has set up the Human and Citizen Path, which is compulsory in 1st year. Each student takes part in masterclasses and workshops, and must commit to a civic project of his or her choice.

  • Reflecting on social issues

The students regularly choose to deal with a subject that touches them to raise public awareness through their video game or 3D-VFX film productions.

For example, the “Palaka” game concept was designed by Montreal students in collaboration with Reflector studio to be accessible to people with autism spectrum disorders.

In addition, during the annual Cine Week and Game Week, students work on societal issues such as “All differents?”, “Make a better world”, “10 billion consumers” and “The dangers of information”.
